Italy is not only a land of Dante, Titian and Michelangelo but also, it’s the home to Radicals and Renzo piano. It looks like a Boot, and this food obsessed country smells more like a sweet cannoli and classy ravioli. It is the epicenter of the roman empire and the birthplace of the renaissance. Here, you stand in the presence of Michelangelo’s David and the Sistine chapel frescoes, Botticelli’s birth of Venus and primavera and da Vinci’s the last supper and also the marvelous dome of Cathedral di Santa Maria del Fiore by Brunelleschi.
It had so much to offer me, landscapes to wine and beautiful beaches to mysterious stories and yet I found my little paradise on the island of Burano.
Burano is a merry island in the Venetian lagoon. It has a tropical feel to it with its colors pop and fizzle. The houses on Burano have a special color pattern, almost like it is planned (maybe it is). Legend says that the island’s fisherman started painting their houses in bright colors, so they could see them while they were away.
Burano made me like that small kid in a candy store. I fell in love with this small island during my Italian rendezvous.
Interior Tip: Add more color pop to your home, it makes you happier and will give you an emotional boost. I have always had a thing for small and colorful objects, my room is full of colorful chairs and cushions and toys (Soon, I shall share a post on what you will find in my room)
